¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø has been ranked in the top 50 in the (ARWU).
¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø increased four places in the 2022 results to now being ranked 47th in the world, one of only two Australian universities in the top 50.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said it was an outstanding achievement in one of the sector’s most trusted league tables.
“Again, the University’s researchers and academics have done Queensland and Australia proud, cementing ¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø’s reputation for world-leading research,” Professor Terry said.
“The ARWU rank is a testament to ¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø’s high quality research outputs, including a higher indicator score for publishing in the prestigious Nature and Science journals over the past 5 years.
“More than 2500 universities are ranked and results for the best 1000 are published, so to be 47 in such illustrious company is an honour.”
¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø performed strongly in the highly cited research indicator, a key component in the ARWU results.
“This is a really important measure of the quality of research being conducted at universities and shows ¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø’s depth of talent across a broad range of fields including immunology, microbiology, genomics and materials science.”
Earlier this month, ¶¶Òõapp¹ÙÍø jumped five places to be ranked 33rd in the world in the .
