University of Queensland researchers have secured more than $3.8 million from the to develop solutions to healthcare challenges.

is leading a team that was awarded more than $2.8 million through the 2023 Primary Health Care Research scheme to improve health workforce planning.

The project will evaluate the needs of consumers and healthcare providers to understand the optimal workforce mix and identify better ways to incentivise team care. This project is a collaboration with researchers from the Australian National University, Lancaster University, Monash University, and the University of Western Australia.

is leading a team that was awarded almost $1 million through the 2023 Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 scheme to develop a diagnostic test for long COVID.

Using artificial intelligence, the test will enable practitioners to diagnose the complex condition and predict the course of disease in patients. This project is a collaboration with researchers from La Trobe University, Monash University, The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Monash University and the University of Western Australia.
